So I opened 2016 by trying something new. I set weekly goals and tried to keep them instead of an annual resolution.
The result? Mixed.
I met some goals, and didn’t even get close on others. The excuses and reasons were varied and sometimes entertaining (to me) but the result was less than amazing, to say the least.
What did I learn?
When it comes to weekly goals, my eyes are bigger than my stomach. I kept wanting to set big goals every week, and accomplish something measurable and impressive. And it was easy to get distracted from dedicating the time each week to think about those goals.
So what’s next? I think this month I’m just going to work on posting a couple of speaking posts each week, and see how that goes.
