What is your one word?
Why do you want to do this? Why do you want to be on stage?
What one word would you use to describe your journey and what got you to where you are today? Lots of audience members had answers. “Struggle”, “Commitment”, “Learning” and “Experiences”
Darren’s one word in intention.
“Lack of intention is noticed.” And conversely, “Intention is noticed.”
Intention is Magnetic
The right intentions will attract the right mentors
The right results will attract the right results
The wrong intentions will attract the wrong mentors
The wrong intentions will attract the wrong mentors
Darren asked himself, Why did I get results? What worked?
Then he decided to break it down
Intention + Cool Tools + Tool know-how = Results
When your intention is to Win a speech Contest, Get Paid or Build your list you will not get the best results.
Intention should be to get results for your audience
Winning the contest, getting paid and building your list will be the side effects
Like Zig Ziggler said, “help enough people get what they want, and you’ll get what you want.”
Fill this in: My intention is … _______________________ by __/__/__
Darren had told us about his childhood, and asked us this question: “If you could go back to your 8 year-old self, what would you say to your self?”
Was there a decision you made when you were young that holds you back? Darren talked about how when he was 8, he stood up at a family event, made a joke and hushed the crowd. He slid back into his seat and decided never to try that again.
More importantly, what would the you 30 years from now say to the you today?
Darren’s intention, to “Help more people, help people by 9/13/16” – goal is to get live streaming work for the next Master Event
Darren challenged us to provide out intention to two people here
What if you added a second word? A descriptor.
For Darren, it would be Intense.
Intense Intention.
INTENSE Intention * (Intention + Cool Tools + Tool Know-How) = HUGE results
After an amazing opening session to get us fired up, Darren LaCroix kept us focused and gave us a new mindset, and a real action we can take to go and make a difference..
