December 25th has once again been a wonderful day for many people. If you’re like me, you made the 25th last as long as you can (11:50pm as I write this).
As the year gets near a close, it’s time to look back at what made this a great year. Did you meet your goals? Did you have success?
If this hasn’t been the best year for you, now is the time to make adjustments. Some people like to make hollow New Year’s Resolutions, but you can make yourself more successful by looking back first, and treating that resolution as a way to adjust for the new year.
Keep it simple – one thing for yourself, one for your family and one for your professional life. Be specific! Don’t plan to “lose weight”. Instead, plan to reduce your sugar intake by eliminating one type of candy you currently eat, but without adding any new sugar intake. For the family, think about adding in an evening group walk 3 times a week. For work, decide to read something related to your industry each month.
If you keep it simple (just like an app), you can apply real improvements towards next year’s goals.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
